The small ferry LeConte is tied up today due to a mechanical problem.

As a result, the Juneau-based ship isn’t sailing its normal Monday route to Gustavus and Hoonah.

The Alaska Marine Highway System says reservation staffers have been contacting booked passengers. The nature of the mechanical problem wasn’t immediately available.

The 235-foot LeConte carries up to 225 passengers and 35 cars or trucks. It also sails to Angoon and Pelican.
