Though the cause of a fatal plane crash near Togiak is not yet determined, the National Transportation Safety Board released a few details about the flight.

According to a preliminary NTSB report, the flight originated in Bethel on October 2nd, and made stops in Togiak and Quinhagak.
The Cessna 208 was on its way back to Togiak before crashing about 12 miles northwest of its destination.
The wreckage was located on a steep mountainside covered in loose rock.
The NTSB says the plane’s initial point of impact was at 2,300 feet….about 200 feet below the mountain’s summit.
The aircraft sustained severe damage in the crash, which sheared off a section of the plane’s left wing.
The fuselage and right wing were reportedly incinerated in a post-crash fire.
Two pilots — Timothy Cline, age 43, and Drew Welty, age 29…and one passenger — 49-year-old Louie John died in the crash.
